Re: Discworld - Angua Von Uberwald build thread HELMET DONE!
No pics of it on until I attach the straps- still debating how to approach them. X) Once I finish the current run of my Rorschach's Grappling Guns I plan to knock out city watch badges (Mine will be attached to a Leather collar necklace of course!

) It's a very good carrot to get the other run done, I'm dying to get to it. My dad's left his jewler's wax lesson out on one of my benches for me to stare at constantly. XD
Still debating how to get the chainmail rocking! I found this great netting-like material that if I painted it with latex to stiffen it up a bit and then paint silver would work great, but I need to save up for my new sewing machine first!
I'm hoping to finish the costume for Halloween next year, slowly picking away at it as I go. Gotta get those straps attached, I have to give the bust-form back to my friend eventually.... XD
And I need to pick out a suitable blond wig.
My discworld books are sort of in this crazy heap on a shelf. I don't own them all but I'm CLOSE. I realized to my horror I don't own Jingo.... I could have SWORN I did but that might have come during that raiding-the-library phase of mine. :C I do have these great wooden elephant book ends I stole from my grandmother who got them in Africa. She doesn't mind, she's passed away and probably happy they're being used and appreciated. XD Unfortunately my collection has surpassed the amount the book ends can support, so they just sit on TOP of the collection, decorating all the same.
ALSO QUICK QUESTION FOR THOSE DISCWORLD FANS OUT THERE: Are there any other comicbook renditions of the books besides Guards! Guards! and Mort? (I own both of those already) I loves me some comics. At one point I got it in my head to adapt the stage play version of Night Watch by Steven Briggs into a comic myself... I got as far as character design for Vimesy.
Old art is old now, but I may still tackle the project when I have free time, just out of love... even if it's only a chapter or two for the art challenge of it.
