Disassembly of an Art Asylum Phaser???

If it's the toy phaser I'm thinking of you just need to unscrew the silver ring off the front first, and the rest is just screws.

EDIT: That's if it's the classic TOS design you're referring to, I've never handled the new movie one.

I guess since I only (in my mind) consider the TOS phaser, THE only phaser, I didn't specify.

But yes a TOS Phaser.

Heh, my thoughts exactly!

A few years ago I disassembled a toy phaser for someone who wanted me to replace the incandescent light bulb with a laser module. It was not my toy and I don't know for certain who made it, but it was one-piece (the phaser type-1 in the top was non-removable) and plastic.

A screw in the main body front.....in the handle and under the rear fins...pop the fins back with a small screw driver and they will slide right off....the front nozzle also use a small screw driver to pop off the very front the body will now pull apart as you pull it pop off the butt on the handle! well heck check this out buddy! A pic is worth a 1000 words!! :lol

THANKS

That was all I needed. The rear catch for the P1 was messed up and I wanted to fix it. Despite it flying all apart when I opened it. I was able to retrieve the parts that went flying and re-assembled it completely working.

I mangled the edged of the front nozzle, but it works now.
