Dimensions of Thor's Hammer?

I just got commissioned to do a custom Hammer in the Thor style but with different writing on it for Arnold Schwarzenegger's birthday present. I get to be there when they present it to him.
Got the design work done, now just have to get the head cut and then do the custom oak handle and leather wrappings.

Very cool! Just an FYI, there's no 'T' in Schwarzenegger! Ugh, that sentence gives me a grotesque image involving Mr. T. *shudder*

Conan meets Thor sounds really cool, wonder if you could work this in somehow!

its easy man. you can use your imagination, and what it takes to put it together is slim to nothing. both of mine were 2x4's, a 3/4"-1" dowel, leather strap and bondo.

I did my version back in 2003. It's 115lbs of cast iron( if you can't lift it, you ain't worthy). I also did the Thor quote in Norse runes, my thought was, why does a Viking have a old english on the side of the hammer. Also I banged it up and weathered it, I know it's indestructible, but if Thor is going up against other enchanted objects or creatures, I think it would get show damage. I used the marvel handbook as my reference for dimensions. The best moment was getting Walt Simonson to sign of on it. For those who don't know, he was the comic book artist who got me into Thor.

Keeping this great thread alive.

Here is the Mjolnir I just completed...

That's excellent work. It seems like it would be perfect for a Thor Con-type costume. :thumbsup

And ^THIS^ is FRAKKING incredible. I think it's my favorite Mjolnir replica EVER. I don't suppose you have any "build" pictures you could share (or even more beauty shots)? :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Exactly Nexus6. Something you can tote for hours, hang from a belt, hold above your head for pics, etc. I do love Lab604's version for the sheer might of it. Just have to be sure you put it where you want to display it forever. :)

Off the hook. Would be cool to have as a static display for sure. Wouldnt want to carry this bad boy around.
Here is a new one that I am considering. I already have the shape down that is similar and being made right now but not so sure about the knotwork yet. Maybe the next version? What do you all think? Should I go for it??

I posted this elsewhere but sometimes the threads do nt get seen by all. Here is where I am right now--
This is a video of the one that got screwed up and I managed to save it-- Just have to get it finished up.

Then here are the ones I have in process as well. Programming is almost done, just have to make sure of dimensions and such. Handles may be different, these are just for the renderings.
