iirc, MicDavis made that chair (original replica & schematics), and Diamond stole his schematics to make the one they're selling. Didn't change a thing from Michael's plans.

How do you know that?

Back in June he told me he heard that they were making his chair using his design schematics, and I was with him when he was at ComiCon to see the thing up close and confirmed - that was his chair made from his schematics. Like any good prop maker, his work has tells. I'm sure he'll pipe in here eventually.

Just sucks that Diamond chose to steal his hard research/design work and hit paydirt with it.

Well, that's outside my budget. At a $1,000 I was thinking maybe just maybe I could do it but not at $2,000.

I don't understand the choice of phrases. If you are sitting in the chair, aren't you "roleplaying" as the "captain"? Shouldn't the phrases be replies from the crew? I want a chair that says "aye aye, sir", "hailing frequencies open, sir", etc. Just seems strange to me....
