Dexter Season 7 and 8

Just finished watching the finale a few minutes ago. I really hoped
Deb wouldn't die.
The closing scene was entirely unnecessary. The scene with the Coast Guard doing their search should have been the closing scene. It would have been a better cliffhanger.

I have to agree with you on both points. As bad as the finale was, it would have been a bit better if they left you not really knowing for sure if he had died or not.

The DVD box set should offer an alternate ending with
Deb surviving
because I'm going into withdrawal from sadness. I'm emotionally spent from that. I need to recharge with a huge dose of levity.

I agree and while they are at it, destroy all copies of the original ending.

How many detectives have to die before a red flag goes off? That office has a tremendously high fatality rate. It would be shorter to list the ones who didn't die.

Batista and Masuka were the only two really good people.

How long before they try to pick up the story where they left off?

Masuka's relationship with his daughter is too weird, but I can't look away because she's too hot not to look at.

Don't forget Soderquist. Yes, it's actually spelled like that. You can see the name plate on his desk in at least one shot. Before that, I thought his name was spelled Sudaquist.
