Dexter Season 6 Teaser Trailer

Looking forward to next season, but the teaser didn't really tease much. Just clips from the previous seasons and added a tagline at the end.

Is this season the last one? I really hope so. I think they've taken this character about as far as they can. It's been entertaining, but each year they seem to play with the same "Will he get caught? Ooooooh" thing, and it's just gotten old now. Plus, they tease him with "Maybe he can find someone that he connects with," but no, each time they just snatch the rug out.

I have to say, from the way that teaser is structured, my bet is the marketing guys will, again, emphasize the same old tired "will he/won't he" thing, and I just don't see how that can go anywhere but somewhere unsatisfying. Either he doesn't get caught and it's yet another season of pointless teasing, or he DOES get caught and then I'm pissed.

theyve been building up hardcore to him letting Deb know what he does. I was really hoping thats how the last season would end

Can someone put what happened in season 5 in a spoiler tag? I just wanna know what happened.

I am very excited for Season 6. I think it is about time Debra has found out. They have been leading up to that for quite a while now.

Awesome.... Can't wait too !!!
Thanks for the online streaming.... Otherwise, I should have to wait one more year !!!!

Me too, I think that would be a good ending to the show but I just hope it doesn't end anytime soon pft...

It really is about time, I definitely agree!

Seriously, though, how long do you think they can play out this character? There's only so many times they can run the "Will he get caught?! Will Deb find out?!" card. Likewise, there's only so many "Oh noes! How will he balance home life with psycho-killer life?!" moments they can play with before they've got to actually, you know, MOVE the character.

My biggest complaint about Six Feet Under was that I felt that the characters -- while very honest and true -- didn't evolve all that much. Especially towards the latter seasons, it just seemed like they kept doing the same stupid crap rather than growing as people. Dexter's been stuck in that same rut for a while now and the writers don't seem to know what to do with him aside from giving him all manner of "best friends who really understand the killer in him."

Let's see. He's had a real brother, a pyro girlfriend, a faux brother, a faux dad/mentor, another faux girlfriend/wife...I bet this season he gets a serial killer dog.

Don't get me wrong. I love the show and all, but it feels like it's been treading water a lot in recent years.

@Solo4114
I know what you mean but i really like this show so i can still cope with it... :lol

I never finished watching last season... I think the last episode I saw was when the girl escaped and he was trying to catch her.

Did the season get any better after that? It really seemed to draaaag while he was dealing with the aftermath of his wife's death.

Yeah, I still love the show too, of course. I mean, I DO keep watching it. But the whole "oops! I lost a body! Oops they found my dump site! Oops somebody may have seen me!" thing is just getting tired.

I hope they try something new this season. I'm also a little tired of side plots that go nowhere. Last season's thing with the voodoo murders for example. That just...fizzled out. Seemed like it was just space-filler. The Laguerta/Angel thing, too. They need something fresh in there instead of rehashing the same thing.

It did get a good bit better, but even so, there were elements of it that just didn't really deliver the way they could've. And by the time it all wrapped up, while some of it felt different in the moment, it was like the season had come full circle and the characters were right back where they started -- certainly, Dexter was. Or at least, what changes had happened in his life hadn't amounted to much in the long run.

I still think Season 1 was the best. It was tight, it was gripping, and it had him really grow and evolve in the course of the season. Since then, it hasn't felt to me like Dexter has changed all THAT much.

It seemed with season 5 they had a lot going on that built up to pretty much nothing - they tied up loose ends far too easily and quickly, basically all the sideplots were quickly tied up and forgotten.
I agree that the focus on further seasons should be MORE on Dexter.
