My Submission
My idea was to be simplistic, Let the judges minds take control over what happened, But here's how i see it...
Dexter has just killed his most recent victim, Fiona a lovely young woman with a dark side, She uses her beauty and charm to seduce and lure men into Deadly situations. Shes a succubus of sorts and Dexter cant have that. shortly after the kill Debra calls in a panic, He doesn't have time to clean up.... this is the remnants of his unfinished ritual.
How this picture was taken? Plastic drop cloth from painting my kitchen recently, some fake blood and a Big Knife (same kind seen briefly in the beginning of the series when Dexter is hunting with his father) there was also a wooden box but it doesn't appear in this photo from my photo-shoot.

Dexter often corrects people (often sounding mildly sad) saying he doesnt have a badge, he has a laminate... as he isnt an officer he only gets a picture id or "laminate"

Michael is right. The ID card IS included with the badge holder, but NOT a Miami Metro Police Department badge.
The badge (which is not included as part of this contest) is the metal plate in the middle of the badge holder, when the badge holder is flipped closed, as seen below.

Turns out there was a missing member of the Barrel Girl Gang. Dexter goes for the kill.
We built the table ourselves and gathered most supplies from Home Depot. We cut a knife in half to get the stabbing effect. I got screenshots of the victims from season 5 and printed them out at Walgreens. I got some weird looks. I bought the cheap, baggy Dexter costume and modified the jumpsuit to fit properly. SiQ Clothing provided the custom sleeves. We placed a softbox light behind the plastic wrap to give an eerie glow effect from behind and a clamp light hung from above.

Since LaGuerta, Deb has had to adjust to an entirely different life. One she has adopted from her brother...gaining her own dark passenger.
My friend Benn and I wanted to do a fun shoot since I had the Dexter shirt and fake flood- a great combination! We lined my bedroom with plastic tarp and made an apron out of a black trash bag then splattered the blood on the tarp, which ultimately left a pool of it in the middle of the bed as if someone had recently been killed there. Originally I was just aiming to be Dexter however in some of the pictures I was told I look more like Deb (probably has something to do with being female...) so I went with it!
