Devil's Boba Fett

Latest shot of my Boba... And my son looking all salty since the novelty has worn off.

So this is the Boba Fett that I've been working on for like some four years now... It was probably the absolute worst costume choice for someone as broke as me. And it just keeps eating my cash like crazy. Thank God its nearly "complete".

I don't have my side pouches on in these pics... But here is the second test fitting. My belts are riding too low, and too loose in the pics, but you get the general idea. Everything is quite a bit darker/dirtier than will show with the flash.

Things left to do:

weather cape
tighten thong
buy gauntlet hoses
add the beacon/stabilizer to the jetpack
darken visor
buy a new blaster
lose 20 lbs.

And one on my mannequin (before the soft parts were weathered)...

Looks good. Money well spent I'd say, but I know how you feel. I need to stop buying anything Star Wars. I'd have a LOT more money.

Losing 20 lbs? Yep, we all need to do that to fit it properly. Fett's pretty slim.

Suggested adjustments . . . dirty that jumpsuit, raise the outer sleeves a litttle, along with the bottom edge of the flak vest.

Great paintjob on the jetpack! MOW if I'm not mistaken?

The suit is actually really dirty in person, the flash washed it all out. You are right about the flak vest, so thats on the list now as well. We're gonna take half the length out from where the bottom of the belly plate is to the edge.

I did notice that the outer sleeves are a little long also... I don't think I'll be able to fix that any time soon. Its beyond my capabilities without messing up the stitching thats already on the end of the sleeves. On my mannequin, they look maybe 3 inches longer than they do on me. I have wide shoulders, and my mannequin is a skinny guy. But yeah, they are still a hair too long on me.

You can see my sleeves here... Still too long, but not as bad as the mannequin pic. Also, in this pic, my belts are riding too high. Still alot of tweaking to go on this thing. I also wanna change some things on my jp paint up.

You're right, they look good when it's on you, but if you want a quick fix on the mannequin, you could probably roll up some of the material at the top of the outer sleeve and safety pin it into a higher position. Do it beneath the flak vest sleeve and shoulder bell.

Which flightsuit do you have? I'm actually waiting on my new one to arrive.

Its one of SGB's... But it wasn't custom fit for me. I bought one of his generic size large back in the day. It required a little bit of simple tailoring to fit me properly. Not at all SGB's fault though, its a fantastic suit.

The vest is a second hand Batninja, thats why it also needs tailoring. I got it from Ripcode, and I think he got it from EvanFett. We already took it in about an inch on each side, now we just have to do the bottom, and I think it'll be good.

Without a doubt it's the most intricate, with the most elements.

I can remember thinking a stormtrooper would be the most expensive costume because of "all that armor." Think again. :lol

I got all of the stuff done that I needed to; vest shortened, gaunt hoses, got a riser in my helmet, um... and whatever else I mentioned before. My blaster is on its way as well.

I've been tweaking my helmet over the past few days... I added the light green scratches, moved my mandibles closer together, and repainted my ears about 20 times. :shock:

My MLC blaster is here and should be done in just a few days. I would have gotten all of my supplies today, but I took my son out trick r' treating. Check back in about a week for the final shots. =)
