Hello everybody
What a intensive and emotional weekend it was for me.
I recently back to hunt Star Wars prop more seriously like in the past.
While i was looking for aircraft part also relative to my ww2 passion, this announces post 2 hours ago appears to me: "Gloster meteor motor". I was thinking , is it the right model as it is mention mk8? are there combustion chamber inside of it? Pipe? can it really be still possible to found this stuff ?
I contacted the guy and 3 day later i was on the road alone at 5h00 am, distance 720 km (7 hours) . I arrived there at 13h00, the motor was disasembled for the main part exept the central bloc who is freaking heavy. After charging it into the car, i back on the road for another destination at 1000 km, 10 hours of a long trip with several 20 min breaks, double expresso to fight sleeping and the stress that the tires exploded just as the warning light came on
. It was 2h30 am when i arrived and the sleep was welcome.
The days who follow i start dissembling the motor, it is not so easy as, due to time and oxydation, some fixation resist tool.
For the moment this the total identify part of my raid :
-9 chambers (luke house, cantina, death star canon...)
-5 combustion chambers ig88 (cantina, ig88)
-9 pipes (2 models -> photo)
- 1 Lars homestead Crest / new part ?
- 1 death star canon part / new part ?
- 1 luke tatooine house part / new part ?
- 1 V-35 speeder parts, compose of the parts i will show in picture and base of the bloc motor / new part ?
I have not yet separe the bloc main motor to see if there is stuff inside, or see if the other remaining parts are in the movie. But i suppose not being so far of the circular Cantina panel.
Any info or schematic to disasembled the central motor is welcome ^^
