I get the pedestals from an online retailer - MDF top with a cardboard like body. They claim it can sustain a weight of up to 200lbs. I think that's a bit of an exageration on their part but it is sturdy enough to hold the stuff I own ... and some of the Sideshow stuff is REALLY heavy. Their web address is: http://easypedestal.com/
Beautiful stuff Simon.......May I ask why you cose different sized pedestals? You may want to group like sized pedestals together?..... Either way looks great.
I only chose the different sized pedestals because I wanted to keep most of these pieces at the same eye level. I'm a little iffy on the final "look" of that myself. Also, keep in mind that some of those aren't pedestals but black Sideshow shipping boxes that I'm using temporarily until I get in some more pedestals.
Hey Doug! I bought that Jason outfit (burlap coat w/undershirts) from Sue Volpe. You can contact her at: http://nightmareprops.webs.com/
She makes a Post-burn and Pre-burn look. Obviously I went with the Post-burn look. The pants are Old Navy fleece pants that I tore up and weathered using Fuller's Earth.
Mmm...A lovely collection you have there mate. I love the pedestals. I am not sure if it's the shots or what but everything looks very bunched together. A little cluttered to my eye. Could you possibly create shelving on the walls at different heights to break it up a bit and create a bit more space to let the displays breathe?
Just my two cents anyway mate. Going by the shots though that's what I'd do....awesome displays though. You've obviously put a deal of thought into this
