Feh, Debbie all the way. Tiffany was one of those manufactured pop singers of the Backstreet Boys ilk. Gibson, whether you enjoyed her bubble gum or not, was a well-rounded musical talent, doing her own writing, some instruments, producing, even mixing at first. It's like comparing Fabian to Elvis (how's THAT for old? That's my parents' time right there).

They both were pretty manufactured at the time of their first popularity swell... Deborah by her dad (he built a studio in their basement and did all her recording and mixing) and Tiffany by her mom, who entered her in pageants and started her on the shopping mall troubadour thing.
Honestly Tiffany's music nowadays is very impressive, along the singer-songwriter genre kind of flavor. Reminds me somewhat of a more subdued Alannis Morrisette. Very high caliber.... and she does actually write her own music and plays guitar now quite well.
Deborah, well... she's enthusiastic, and she's a great performer. Her own musical creations without outside influence are... interesting. She's got an interesting variety of instruments she plays.
