I have begun work on a full Deathstroke costume. I'm going to kind of go in a couple of directions with the look, as I have never 100% loved any one version of this great character's costume.
We we will start with the mask:
So, after a mediocre result from my first iron man mask-to-Deathstroke mask attempt, I decided to try another one. I'm still using Das air-dry modeling (because I am stubborn) but this time I am using it all over to avoid weird cracks/shrinkage. I also used Glad Press and Seal wrap to cover the entire mask to get a better uniformity of surface. It actually worked remarkably well.

After that first layer, I sanded it down, getting the "blind" side as featureless as possible, and leaving various flaws on the other side. There was also some edge shrinkage, so I "capped" the edges with clay and finished it in a way that will prevent that cracking. Then I sanded it again and I think I am in a good position to paint it. Instead of spray paint, this time I am going to use a primer and acrylic paint. That will be my weekend's project.

I'll also use this thread to show progress on the costume itself.
