Over the past couple of nights here in the UK (Film4) they have being showing a live action version of Death Note
now im not into manga in any way bt the preview of this looked so good i wanted to take a look sadly ive missed both episodes as they are on late and i had long since fallen asleep on the sofa waiting for it to start
im totally gutted ive missed these ive found the Film 4 website but sadly there doesnt seem to be an option to watch the movie online so my hope is to catch a re-run.
anyone here seen these before and do they live upto the hype,
ive read that Warner Bros. has hired screenwriters Charley and Vlas Parlapanides to adapt the manga into a screenplay. Unlike the Japanese Death Note live-action movie trilogy, the US-version will be directly adapted from the material in the manga and will not follow the storyline of the Japanese movie adaptations. On January 13, 2011, it was announced that Shane Black has been hired to direct the film, with the script being written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry.
