Dean Winchester's bag of goodies..

During many episodes of 'Supernatural', Dean Winchester gathers his 'kit' from the Impala, using this green canvas holdall.....apologies for the not so great screen grab and I know its a long shot but can anyone i.d this type. I'm guessing it's a workman/tools holdall. I just can't seem to find the correct size one here in the UK.

It looks like an older style army echelon bag, vietnam era maybe? Used to see bags very similar to that in army surplus stores all the time in South Australia, not sure about overseas though. Here's a link I found quickly, the second one down seems like it'd be pretty close to me.

Hi, thanks for the assistance...I checked out that one but not sure as its quite deep. I've found a better photo of it...this one seems quite shallow. Any ideas?

Hm, that does really look a lot like the ones I used to see in the army surplus, I'll see if I can find another place that sells one close to what I'm thinking of.

Yeh, that one looks good..will have a closer look at the measurements. I'd like to be able to nail the exact one if possible (am a stickly for accuracy lol) I imagine it was picked up from a military surplus shop in Canada.

In the meantime, I'll try to find more reference photos

IT'S ALIVE...IT'S ALIVE..wow had to blow the old dust off this thread. Did anyone come up with any info on this bag? I think I may know what this bag is.

The screen-caps from Everybody Loves a Clown I have a poor can any one get good caps at the mini-van seen with Dean taking out the bag? If you can tell me the button colors of the bag I can tell you for sure what it is. If not known already of course.

Great to see this thread again....I've still not given up hope of finding out what bag it is so, yeah, if you can help me that would be great. I'll try to get some more screen caps of the scene you mean....sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

yeah if you get some good ones you can post them. I have been using screencap paradise to view seasons 1 thru 4 images of the bag. I looks like there are a few of them. I will post info when I get the final update.

What would you say the length of this bag is. Also asylum has some great images of the bad as well.

not been able to track it down either..may be an alteration from the props people..who knows. I'm gonna stick with a OD green duffel bag, you can find them on ebay..one of Dean's with the big strap on it looks ALOT like a topco duffel bag..very well made.
