So there's a few out there trying to build this already, I'm going full leather and I've been working on reference and designs since the Lopez video showed (interest original from the test footage but wanted to wait for movie costume pics)

Here's an album I have on facebook. Feel free to jump on there and use anything I have https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.470887536400970.1073741851.103715183118209&type=3

Face shell, leather hood to be made to replicate movie look. (Mask by ilustrastudios on etsy (I'm having custom leather hood made for mine).

My gloves are based on test footage gloves, I personally think that design is more in line with usual Deadpool gloves:
    Deadpool-leaked-test-footage.jpg deadpool-test-footage1.jpg
Mine: (section going up arm is to be reduced by about an inch)
    gloves.jpg

My boots so far, thinking either leather sections on top to look like armour or maybe stenciling on some detail.

I would be interested as well. I thought the movie gloves compared to the test footage were all black?

1st test run of suit worn (on my leather guy so sizing might be a little off)
    Adjustments to be made:
1 Leg strip to match jacket at front and to go horizontally (not angles down)
2 Zips to match areas e.g. black zips on pockets and red zips on sleeves (unless wanted that way)

What did you use for the snap on the brown pouches?

I'll let you know what they used once I have them, my leather guy used another vendor to produce.

It's pleather for the belt. To me it appears the pouches and a small piece on each side of the buckle are distressed brown leather. The black magazine pouches are cordura. The rest of the belt that goes around is a brown cotton/canvas.

I think the suit is from multiple fabrics provided for movement, comfort, and looks. I do think there is some spandex such as the elbows, knees, and under the shoulder bells. I know there's a zipper in the back. Not the front.

Yeah, I went with full leather for ease of production, the zipper I went front for convenience and I think it looks pretty good. I might look at a canvas/cotton belt we'll see how it all looks on.

What ya think? I've utilized the strap set up to hold loops on holsters to backing, I'm probably cut the top straps down so the look a little cleaner.

Are you going to get or make a leather belt? The leather belt has the pouches and the black belt has the holsters

I have belts and pouches (skipping black belt as it sits under jacket to hold holsters up), as well as accurate holsters as seen in pic above.

Lol all good, I use a belt on pants and hang drop panels/holsters off that, then I wear jacket over top and belt over that with pouches, it's not 100% accurate but it's easy to get into without help.

*, this looks nice. Any advice you'd give to someone considering making a part-leather costume in a similar style who hasn't done much with leather before? Hypothetically.

Also, I'd really like to know how you did the raised armor details. Those came out really clean.

Foam/or something similar is under raised bit and it is sewn around edges to something underneath (another firm bit of material), hope these pics might help.
