De Palma`s - The Untouchables.....My Collection

Saw this again on the weekend and automatically started to think as a collector.

A small collection to go with my Maltese Falcon replicas is really distracting me at the minute. Im thinking of making a scaled down half whisky barrel and adding Nittys matchbook with Malones address on it, Nittys chrome Colt, which can be purchased locally(replica).
If eltee can design and produce an Elliot Ness ID and badge it would really top it off.

Has anyone else put together an Untouchables collection before?
Any ideas or pictures of your own stuff would be most appreciated.

Thanks BigDenny, thats great.
Hopefully eltee will chime in with any info on an appropriate badge.

Re: De Palma`s - The Untouchables

Thanks again BD, will make a great backdrop. hope that this thread can unearth something for you as well.

Scrubbed the idea of a barrell and will instead put a small display stand together out of some balser wood i have into one of the Canadian crates.

Already had Nittys matchbook, just had to add some black tape to the front and do the pencil work. Noticed that the matchbook had changed from
Malones hit to Ness finding them, will do the Nitty version.

These would be easy enough to do, just give the pic a B&W treatment

I would like to do these and hopefully someone can scan them or something and post so they can be reproduced.. I dont even have a printer.
With the jury list, a hd capture would be great, just need to make out the names etc to have typed on an appropriate typewriter.

This isn't screen used, but it's based on a genuine early Chicago card.

Thanks very much Marc,
I dont have any graphics making programs or skill or even a printer so sometimes you have to improvise.

Re: De Palma`s - The Untouchables

This is one of my all time favorites and had a great time putting together some props that i could mainly make together myself.
Started by throwing together a replica of the Canadian crates for a display base using some ply, balsa wood and a tea bag, its only three sided with balsa.

Using the actual Ness ID that eltee posted, made a fantasy version using a Treasury badge and 2 sided brown leather wallet, gave a Costner pic i found the sepia
treatment to finish it off.

I got a great deal on a printer so finally have the ability to make my own basic paper props and with the help of the blu ray, came up with these. I added
a picture on photo paper to the pre posted Molone ID Card, thanks again to KennyD for posting that.

I only had to buy a few things for the collection and was extremely happy to find the same vintage brand ledger used in the movie,
soon followed by the same antique brass call box key so treasured by Malone. I patched together a reasonably accurate chain from bits from
a two dollar store and only cost a few bucks.
Ive tracked down what im fairly certain is the same St Jude medal used in the film but it is far too expensive to consider, still looking for a cheap replica, using a local dollar coin in the meantime.
Nittis chrome 45 is my Christmas present to myself and is just plain cool.

I love this movie--and I love the suits! I like the props you've put together so far :)

Not a prop per se but I picked this up back in 1989:
