Thank you all for the support. Wonderboy, thank you for sharing.

An update;

Inspired by the deadline set by the 2008 Rebelscum Halloween Costume Contest, I turned my focus to arriving at a wearable version of my beloved Darth Bane costume.

I consider the image above to be a test fitting of the work in progress, with several components left to fabricate and others to finish. I so look forward to having a new suit to wear to events next year.

Be well,
Thomas

Gorgeous Thomas. Beautiful work.
Earlier in the thread you wrote it was OK for me to use your photo as the basis for a Bane wallpaper on my site. I'd love to use the one you just posted.
If it's still ok, could you please post or PM me with what name and/or link you'd like me to use as credit for you?
Again...amazing stuff and thanks! :thumbsup

Darth Bane, EWIP MMIX

Darth_Bane__MMIX_by_TheCloneEmperor.jpg

Good afternoon,

I bring a teaser image of my EWIP*, Darth Bane, Architect of the Sith. It is hard to describe how much of myself is in this suit. I chuckle to think how much cannot be seen and assure myself that it is all worth while.

This image was taken at 5:00 am today, with just enough juice in the camera for 6 images. More images to come as the project develops.

Be well,
Thomas

I have to say that I am not a fan of that characters look, but man you have created a fantastic costume! Great work, it actually looks more interesting to me here than any other interpretation.

Wow, you have such talent. The armor looks so right for Bane!

Did the Hasbro thank you or anything for the contribution?

Still going

Darth Bane, WIP Orbalisk Armour;
Orbalisk_Fitting_2009_by_TheCloneEmperor.jpg

The continued progress of my Darth Bane and his Orbalisk Armour. (Seen here without helmet, cape, and hair cut.) This weekend I completed the shoulder bells and fitted closure straps to the back the gorget.

I am now set on articulating and fitting the whole upper body in Orbalisks.

Be well,
Thomas

Right bicep encasement in process, before painting.

I look at the tyme that passes between updates and for a brief moment, I despair and wonder when I shall ever finish. Then I recall the projects I work on in between the updates on this project and realize I am on "schedule."

Finally an active member here....thus I'm finally able to say how really good is your work.

Each project is impressive (Durge, Clone Emperor, etc...)

Congratulations!!!!

Truly impressive Thomas! Your attention to detail and fine craftsmanship is always a masterful work of art.

Thanks for a great look at the character I just finished reading in book two.

That looks really good! You did a really good job with the paint work, which I think really sets the mask off!

Awesome progress, Thomas !

And it´s great news that you´re planning to attend the JediCon this year ! :thumbsup
