Ha, yes, 2 weeks seems a tad optimistic. I'm really excited about this suit. I started a MK6 but sort of lost steam. I would really love to have this done for the next ECCC in Seattle.

Thanks, after the back I will be making a new neck file and probably a collar piece that goes under the chest and the part of the back that comes up over the shoulders. This will have some of the extra details you see in the reference pics. Then I will modify Sharkmarks helmet file to make it a Mark VII helmet... there are only a couple really small changes that most people wouldn't even notice even if you told them. After that I will go back through the files and add more details and possibly modify my design is a few areas but I won't release the new files till after the movie comes out. I am sure that I will discover some new things about the suit when I see the movie.

Well Darkside, after following this thread and now with the release of a lot of the foam files I have been convinced to abandone my Mark VI build for a Mark VII build. Thank you for all your hard work, Ironleoman for his help unfolding and Ironmaided for the converstions. Will Ironmaided continue with the foam conversions?

i had my mark 2 done in two weeks. . . 7 days build then 4days paint then the rest is for the mobility test

Ok, I am working on the back and I like to make things as accurate as possible but I am noticing some discrepancies on the back armor between the trailer screencaps I have seen and the Kotobukiya statuette.
What I would like from you all is to take a look at the reference pictures I have gathered on my sky drive (link in first post) and if you have or can find any other images besides the ones I have, particularly of the back armor, then please show it to me. You can let me know the link where you found it or you can upload or email me the full resolution image. I need detailed pictures so if it is blurry or too small then don't bother. Thanks in advance.

Well Darkside, I have a suggestion. Why don't you go out to toys r us or any place with toys, but I prefer the first one, and find the big mark 7 toy. That way you get a 360 look of the armor and you can get all the basic details you need. I saw one at the toys r us store, so I'm sure there's got to be one near you. Hope you like the idea.
