Dark Knight Rises

Here's a bit from the Entertainment Weekly Article

I like this quote from the first paragraph:
"...during a break in between shots, Christian Bale stands alone on the set, parked right in front of that costume. He adjusts the cowl. He straightens the belt. But for the most part, Bale keeps his arms folded and just stares at it"

You know if anyone here had a full Dark Knight suit on display, they would be doing the same thing :lol

Very cool - and supports a lot of what I suspect.

I'm sure Neeson's part in TDKR will be all in flashbacks, to establish Talia as his daughter. While resurrecting him would fit the character (and be super cool IMO), I dont see it happening in Nolan's Batman. The girl looks good for a young version of the actress too (forget her name - too lazy to search lol).

Some photos from my experience in Pittsburgh just for fun.

The panoramic are 35mm taken on a Pentax point and shoot.

Here I am looking silly doing a singing contest at the Heinz Field shoot.

Might as well share my experience too :D

Here are pictures from when they shot 2 days in Jersey back in November at Newark.

First day wasn't too much to see as filming was being done inside Newark City Hall but when it was lunch time the extras and actors came out.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Chris Nolan was the only two of the main cast and crew I got to see this day as Bale and Hathaway would be filming the following day

Some of Bane's Mercenaries

I got to speak with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and ask for a picture but he said he can't while hes was working funny thing is Hathaway said the same thing the following day. I ran into him twice though and the second time was off guard so I manage to take a pic when he walked passed me with his body guard.

I've also got see Nolan plenty of times, he even walk out the door right behind me from the Prudential Center where the extras and crew has lunch. No pics with him though. Anyway here are some more random pictures from the 2 day shoot.

At one point filming was being done under the subway with Bale and Hathaway from morning till around noon and then shooting was done for those two for the day. After lunch they both left to their trailers while filming would contiue with swat and police going in and out the subway. While everyone was still watching filming being done, my cousin and I went to the trailers since all of them were in a public parking lot. Probably 2 other fans there and one security guard who was cool and told us Bale and Hathaway were still there and we should stick around if we wanted to see them. No more than 5 mins later we saw Hathaway coming out a trailer and going into another one. We called her over and ask for a picture but she replied she can't while working.

Then we saw Bale as he was leaving out of one trailer to another. While we was watching Bale go into a trailer Hathaway had got into a SUV and left. Another few minutes later Bale left the trailer and also got into a SUV with his driver. Mind you every other actor wouldn't let us take pictures with them but Bale saw us and heard us and had his driver pull up to us and we got to speak with him and take pictures.

So here I am with Bale

Really cool guy in person and even spoke in his Bruce Wayne accent.

After he left I went back to the park where the subway was located and filming was still being done with swat and police and by this time everyone walking by had stopped to watch the filming. Every one was expecting to see Bale but didn't know he had already filmed and left for the day.

After Nolan got his shots by the subway he moved shooting up the block where he had swat and police cars driving up and down the street.

And that's about it. Really can't wait to see how all this plays out on film. I got to meet my favorite actor and see a part of Jersey become a real Gotham. After all Gotham City is technically located in New Jersey in the DC Universe. :cool

With all the media stuff over the last couple years that painted Bale as a dick it's nice to know he's much more approachable than some other lesser known actors.

"Really cool guy in person and even spoke in his Bruce Wayne accent."

This is the best part of your whole story. You didn't just get to meet Christain Bale, you got to meet BRUCE WAYNE too.

I'm so jealous of you guys who live near places where big movies get made!

Yeah watching this guy in movies for yrs and being a huge fan of his work and being a Batman fan, it was pretty surreal seeing and meeting Bale. At one point it was going through my head saying to my self, this is Patrick Bateman/ Bruce Wayne/ Batman/ John Connor this is awesome! lol. Something told me to go to the trailers and it really paid off . It was definitely a memorable weekend. Him stopping and giving us the opportunity to talk to him and take pictures shows a lot about his character and I thanked him for it. He's definitely a good guy.

Thanks for sharing all those great pics, gents. Now, who is going to do a run of the Gotham license plates?!

Someone tried to get a run off the ground a year or 2 back. Dunno if it went anywhere. Same guy that did all the GCPD metal badges.

Looks like this really is what the whole flying batpod looks like:

Once toys are put into production, I think it's a given that the product is pretty good approximation of what we'll see on screen. Though I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed....I really thought that a lot had to be missing or CGI when shots were first leaked from filming.

...I miss Keaton's Batwing...
