Dark Knight Rises

what about Martha Wayne? Did she play a part in Bruce's life, or is she just the woman who owned a necklace? You writers always diss the mothers.

The movies almost never refer to her either. Maybe because it was Thomas Wayne's company not Martha's. Almost anytime they refer to his parents the reference always seems to be "your father".

At least Burton's Batman movie gave them equal representation.

Will be watching it a week after its out. I hate going to the movies with people who are just making it a date night and talking through out the movie.

How can you say that about Leo!?:(

Well yeah, as little more than corpses. The suits of armor Vicki and Alex were looking at got more character development than Thomas and Martha in that movie.

That said, in multiple medias I've not seen as much focus on Martha as Thomas. It doesn't mean there wasn't any, just none I can recall offhand. In hallucinations Bruce tends to talk to his father more. In time-travel it's Bruce and Thomas dressed up as a Bat Man beating up thugs. In alternate timelines it's Thomas who becomes Batman (though Martha did become Joker in one). It was Thomas who may have faked his own death via ordering the hit in crime alley...
