Dark Knight Rises filming in Pittsburgh...

As a Pennsylvanian -- I'm 4 hours from the 'burgh, but still in PA -- I think it would be a real shame if this doesn't happen. You're absolutely right; Pittsburgh would make a great Gotham City.

This was on KDKA the other day. I don't see why it's any business of the state's. It should be up to the cities and counties to okay things. Harrisburg is so out of touch with how bad things are in this half of the state that unless the governor himself gets the papers it'll never happen.

Jeez, you guys are makin the 'burgh sound like a real **** hole. :lol

Only in the winter. :lol

My friends dad told me that up until the 70s, business men would take an extra shirt to change into at lunch due to all the soot in the air.

Wes, the state has the deeper pocket books and larger film commissions. True for most state, I'd think. Given that they are looking for tax credits, the state would be who I'd think is in charge. Here in Ohio, they've suspended/disbanded the film board, so no big movies here for a while.

That explains why they aren't filming in cleveland again. I just figured considering how small the parts of The Road were they filmed in erie and pittsburgh this would be a shoe in.
