I've highlighted a few of the seams that have that zigzag or serger stitch in red here! The green seams have a non-standard stitch as well, but I can't tell here if it's the same (one piece on top of another, stitched down like the red paths) or another technique joining two sections against one another (perhaps a small baseball stitch, like the whipstitching seen on Aragorn's duster but on a smaller, machine-stitched scale).

Thoughts?

dunno if you plan on adding any more to your interest list but if you happen to do a run before Wondercon 2015 (April I believe) Id be very interested

My jacket arrived this afternoon! I haven't had time to go pick it up from my PO Box but I will post some pictures as soon as I can, I'm pretty much picking it up on the way to work tomorrow to wear for Halloween

I've never noticed the three vent grommets in the underarm area before! There's a bit of the inside of the coat showing too, which is great. You can see more of it here:

Are the strips connected on the replica coat in any way? Is the coat lined?

Thanks for the first pics ! The right arm seems a bit offcanon and on the left shoulder some details missing but the rest looks very good
Especially the back ! Never seen those rivets.

How heavy is it?

A bit, about 4 pounds

Still would love to see some clearer photos of it

I bought a Samsung Galaxy s4 Active thinking it would help me to take better pictures but it's terrible.Idelivered the coat today to a professional photogtrapher, I'll have the pics between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, that's when I'll start taking orders for the second run as well.

I'm already working with my leathermaker to make it even closer.

Awesome! I think the one change that would make the biggest overall effect is flat snaps. There are good breakdowns in the sling bag and "definitive Peter quill" threads of the brass snaps and rivets that are used throughout the film costumes and props!

Really? I just recieved my coat and didn't know you were going to make changes again with the leather maker. Otherwise I would like any new and improved changes. :-( I do like the coat and what I see so far!!
