:angry DAMN YOU Warehouse 13! I hate you for the recent cliffhangers and sudden ends!!!!! AARRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Last week, you got me hanging on, I was hitting my fist on the table and now again!!!

Warehouse 13 is killing me, I wanna know what happens!!!!! AAAARGH!!! :lol:popcorn

Gotta get it off my chest… (still not feeling better, only slightly…)

I'm right there with you. Was a good episode and I thought we'd get some king of resolution at the end but it's they left us hanging again.

Its been the best story line so far, too bad they didn't do it last season, it might not have been cancelled.

At least I'm not the only one who wants resolution :lol I like the stories, they are back to the basics, seems like someone is eavesdropping on the RPF with all what is "wrong" with WH13…

I love the mini-Buffy reunion and the call back to BtVS Season 6, Episode 8 - "Tabula Rasa"

Spike: You don't suppose you and I... we're not related, are we?
Anya: There is a ruggedly handsome resemblance.
Giles: A-And you do inspire a, um, particular feeling of familiarity and... disappointment. Older brother?

That happened when I watched Stargate SG-1. The Goa'uld are about to invade Earth and... to be continued. Cliffhangers. You gotta love them and hate them.

This is why I've started watching Sci Fi series with a could of years delay - That avoids the heartbreak when a show gets cancelled early (SGU), and allows me to get through a series in a week. Cliffhanger - No problem - I'll just watch the next episode now!

Only problem with this technique, is that I don't get much sleep. I started watching Breaking Bad, and ended up watching 5/6 episodes per night as it was so good.

Yeah, I do that. But I have to wait for the next DVD to come in from the library.

They never said that to the Alphas team. It was Eureka that was supposed to have an extended "goodbye" season but then they cut it short. It's even referenced in the series finale.

The SyFy guy keeps saying that they won't cut W13 farewell even shorter for next season, but we'll see...

let's hope there's a proper end with the cure of Myke's cancer, Claudia being the next caretaker of WH14, Mrs. Frederic retiring and not dying, and everyone still chasing artifacts…

They really screwed around with Eureka. First they cancelled it. Then they said it was coming back and there would be a season six with that being the final season. Then they said that was a misunderstanding and five would be the final season, but with additional episodes and a two hour finale in order to wrap up story lines. Then it was sixteen episodes and a two hour finale.

In the end they gave us thirteen, including the one hour finale.

Shortly after the finale aired a friend of mine sent me an article that basically explained that Syfy was trying to make sure that none of the actors could claim unpaid money from their contracts and thirteen episodes would count as a full season for that purpose. The article also mentioned that if they'd done 14 episodes or a two hour finale (which would have counted as episodes 13 and 14) some of the stars would have gotten a bonus for averaging sixteen episodes per season for five seasons.

At least that's what I remember, some of my numbers may be off. I tried to find the e-mail, but it was from too many years ago.

Between Eureka and all the stops and starts, mostly stops, with SGU revival (which ain't happening) and the promised SG Atlantis movie (also not happening) I've given up on SyFy. They don't care about keeping fans.

It sounds like they're doing the same thing to W13 fans.

It's all about the money. The SyFy president basically said they cancel their shows (ie: W13) around season five because that's when they get too expensive, even with their reduced 13-episode season style.

Plus, it seems like Syfy is pouring all of their money into Defiance, so I'm guessing the clock is running on Being Human and Haven next, as they're going into season four...

It's all about money because they're doing it wrong. Eureka's cast expanded to be WAY too large - recurring characters became main characters, sets got more expensive, etc.

Did they learn their lesson? No. Warehouse 13's cast has become too large. The show should really have been kept to Artie, Pete, and Myka (with the occasional appearance by Mrs. Fredricks). Another issue is the expensive (RECURRING) Guest Stars. One well known actor here or there won't break the bank - but more than one in a single episode and recurring? How about the sets and props? For the most part, the artifacts are things that can be picked up at rummage sales. The Warehouse is an expensive set (most of which is already built though), but the rest of the filming can be done anywhere - instead they fly their cast/crew around the world.

The question is: Does all this expense make it a better show? For the most part, the answer is no. I could do without the additional cast, famous guest stars, and exotic locals - spend the money on good writing and good stories. In fact, the additional cast and famous guest stars tend to distract from the actual purpose of the show. Does anybody remember when the show used to be about hunting artifacts? (Disclaimer, I haven't seen the last couple yet...)

Then just watch from 4x13 "The Big Snag" on, they were back on track of old W13, Wells is not on the team anymore (got a second life), introduced a new character replacement for Leena (way more interesting) and shifted the gear into overdrive.

The way networks decide whether or not to keep a show alive is frakked up and the nielsen rating system - a joke! :facepalm

I skipped Season 8 of 24 since I heard it was going to be the last and saved it for when it came out on DVD... I then sat through it in one sitting, minus the mandatory refill on snacks, coke and what have you. It was intense :wacko

One hell of a season closer!

"We don't use artifacts from the warehouse!" - Pete says even though Arty uses that film reel thing fifteen minutes earlier.
