Does anyone know a good way to fix a spiderman mask? One if the lenses came off and I tried to super glue it back on unsuccessfully and am afraid I ruined it for good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your pic didn't show, but here's a link to all of them:

Try using a small amount of nail polish remover on it. Put a little bit on the end of a Q-Tip, and dab at a small area of it. Superglue releases its bond in the presence of Acetone, which nail polish remover has. You may have to take it off in layers to get it completely gone. You can also try using an old toothbrush or flat paint brush to coat the super glue.

If this doesn't work, you may have to go to straight Acetone. Start out by staying as close to the eye hole as possible, however, because Acetone may discolor the fabric.

Thanks for all of the help guys! Will try the acetone. Any tips on the best way to glue the lens back? Spandex is really hard to work with especially for a noob like me. I put it on a mannequin head but I couldn't get it to work. Thanks again!

i use a loctite stick n' seal adhesive for my spider parts. the regular stuff, not the extreme version.

as long as that super glue isnt caked on all over the place, whatever you decide to go with should still adhere and hold just fine with that super glue still on there. i would definitely go with what tonykch was saying tho and use some nail polish remover to go ahead and get as much off as possible, and also like he said GO SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.

and as long as the places with the glue on them are still under the lenses, then no damage will actually show. i don think youve ruined your mask.

If I were in your position, I'd put the mask on before trying to reattach the lens. That way you can get it stretched to its proper position before adhering. Just make sure to put something that won't soak up adhesive, like wax paper, between the fabric and your face to catch any glue that seeps through the fabric.
