Just looking for a second opinion. Guy (the one wearing the patch jacket is 5'7" and about 140lbs for scale). I am also that height, though about 25 lbs heavier.
What size would you say these patches are? I am making this akin to the leather suit. I want to say 6x6" but maybe it's more like 5x5". I am not sure, thus why I am asking!
Old thread, I know, but this is something I've also wondered. Recently I was going through the pictures I took at the 2017 pop up shop, I noticed one of the Daft Punk patches sitting next to some 35mm photos of Thomas and Guy from their darlin' days. Assuming the developed photos are a standard 4x6 and the patch is the same type used on the jacket, I would wager a guess that the patch is most likely 6x6 when compared to the 4x6 photos.
The next question I would kill to have answered, is the jacket made of Just patches or are the patches sewn on top of a base jacket and if so, what is that base jacket? I see black tuxedo shawl style lapels poking out above the framed photo of Hendrix in Guys hands but who knows if they were added for aesthetic purposes or they are apart of a base jacket.
