CZ-3 protocol

I ve recently been searching for photos of the back
and more stuff of the cz-3 (or 1or 4) protocol droid

does anyone know where I could find any decent photos of it
besides the visual dictionary I think I have most of what is commonly on the net
plus a couple shots of the upcoming hasbro figure

anyone know of some good photos

the hasbro figure just does not have the right facial curvs
although new figure looks pretty good


I think the pic is a fan made suit ( awesome btw)

I believe that's the CG rendering from the New Essential Guide to Droids.

CZ-3 is one droid I'd like to add to my collection of heads (IG-88, C-3PO, 2-1B, 8D8 etc.).

Over at TK-104's threepio board, it was figured out that the face and chestpiece of this droid originated as prototype Vader parts. They match early McQuarrie sketches perfectly. Just picture it in black without the white eyeballs.

and yes I finally looked at the essential guide of droids
sure enough, there it was

I was almost certain when I first seen the picture that it was a fan made suit
it's hard to tell with the background cropped that it is a rendered photo.

So far we haven't been able to figure out what his back looked like. Several shots of him exist, a good one is in the SW Visual Dictionary. That previous scan is a CGI version.

check this out, I got alot of work yet to do but that s what little time I do have to do this !! still need to perfect the eyes!!

Nice work! Another of my favorite droids. If you are having trouble with symmetry you might try making a template of the side you like and sculpt the clay to match on the other side.

i think thats a little hard concidering the actual droid has little symmetry itself.
