Custom Foam - Arctic Mandalorian - WIP - Pic Heavy

Killer work. I would say kevin's gun need the Nerf logo covered, And you can do some silver dry-brushing on his, followed by a very diluted brown wash to mute the silver. When I used to build model kits, I would take a larger brush (relatively speaking) and get some silver paint on it, (not much) brush it on cardboard until it was almost dry, then hit the high spots VERY lightly all over with quick strokes (heh). brings out the details, and the acrylic brown will create an uneven "grime" all over.

I'm digging this. Hope to see you on the Jumbo Tron at the Ralph!

After getting some good feedback from my friends in the North Ridge I decided that I needed to conform with George Lucas's vision for 'no zippers, laces, or underwear in space'. Since the arctic style boots we got are Mukluks, I needed to figure out how I could cover the laces. I decided to make some spats out of faux leather I had laying around.

Once I finished making the spats I decided that they needed more weathering to match the rest of the armor.

I used the same spray paint from the rest of the project to add weathering, but for some reason it never really dried. It just remained tacky days later.

I had to come up with a way to get rid of that tacky-ness. So, I sprinkled some 'Shower to Bath' powder on the spats. Next I brushed the powder in with an old paint brush until the paint stopped being tacky. Since the Mando is an Arctic themed, I didn't mind that the powder could leave a white residue.

I also wanted to add something to my blaster to just make it look a little more exciting in the dark. So, I've added a small pvc pipe fitting to house an led flashlight with some purple leds, white leds, or a single red dot laser pointer...

It doesn't 'do' anything, but since there will be an onfield battle sequence at the end of the baseball game I wanted to be able to have something that would light up in the dark...
