Hi,
I just finished my first original design blaster and any feedback would be really appreciated.
Any opinions on design, construction, painting/ weathering etc; would be great.
Oh that's nice. How did you do the trigger guard? I'm still trying to figure that out on mine.
Update: I was on my way back from a camping trip in Nevada and stopped at the Cabela store, and bought a couple packs of scope rings. Today I went to OSH and bought a 1/16" x 3/4" x 48" strip of aluminum. I had a scrap of 1/8" x 1/2" x 96" aluminum lying around(not pictured).
I cut both pieces to the length of the scope. The plan is to make a rail mount for the scope rings to attach to. I'll have to turn down the narrow section of the reducers in order to fit them in the rings.
Thanks.
The trigger guard is a piece of 2mm thick Perspex. I softened it with a heat gun and bent it into shape then drilled two small holes in each end to secure it. A coat of primer and a couple of top coats and a bit of weathering and that was it.
The Perspex gets soft very easily and it holds it shape well when it cools so its good to work with for curves. The scope ring was done the same way.
