FINALLY!

had these for years. Gary did the conversion for me years ago.

I finally painted it. Its SD studios Metal Parts, Shroud too I think, and a Marui Electric Thmpson. Remington is also AS.

The shroud was painted with BULLDOG paint prep...flat black,...chrome is some spots. The latex was "dabbed" onto the chrome.
The gun was then repainted flat black....then BESS BROWN, then misted with flat black again.

When it was dry...the latext was rubbed off giving a chipped paint warn look, and suggesting the underneath is metal.

Dabbing silver paint on top of the exterior color just doesnt look as authentic.

Very nice! Are you going to replace the wooden grip? If not, then maybe a little weathering on it?

I'm wondering why you left the brown wooden grip and didn't go with the black plastic grip that seems to be on most Pulse Rifles?

The wooden grip is a pretty nice change of pace, but I think it 'pops' too much against the worn body. Wearing it down would look pretty good.

Weathering the way it ought to be. Looks great!

Carving out the grip is not that hard I've done dozens at this point, you need to grind off the finger groove in front and flatten the base a tad. Then decide if you want six or seven grooves, booth are accurate. Start the groove cuts with a razor saw for a nice sharp line then widen and deepen the grooves with triangle files and finish off with round files.

Or... Use a milling machine...

Is that a genuine SPAS cage and grip?


I actually like the wooden grip for a change of pace. The Pulse Rifle commissioned for the Colonial Marines Technical Manual had a wood grip as well.

Yeah, very nice. I think the shroud is from Gary as well as it matches the spare one i have from him. Chipping looks very realistic.

The Motor is in the wood Grip. I like the look. MATSU..thanks..if I change it..thats how I will do it.
