"Crystal" [Human] Skull...

I'm posting this thread as an FYI for anyone who may care. This weekend after I FAILED to acquire a Detolf cabinet from Ikea, my wife wanted to look around one of the local malls (*shrugs*). One of the stores in the mall was called 'Z GALLERIE' (which I had never heard of). Anyway, inside, I came across a "crystal" skull (resin, actually), that a quick Interweb search revealed, was very close, in size, to the famous 'Mitchell-Hedges Skull' (minus the separate jaw). It is also available on their website.

My wife (NOT a prop-ite) liked it so much that we bought it. And since crystal skulls have made appearances in several films, I thought somebody here might be interested. I took pictures with/without flash, with/without base-lighting (not included in the purchase, but available lots of places (online search for "Ozark Trail LED Hanging Tent Light")), & without flash/with base-lighting (forgot to try with flash/with base-lighting).

In short, it's pretty cool.

Kind of reminds me of the crystal skull used in the one episode of Stargate only a little smaller. I just may have to order one of these.

I've been thinking about this myself for a little while now. A human crystal skull appears in a few of the Indiana Jones novels, so I want one for my collection.

The ones I saw were made by a company called Nemesis Now. There's a one-piece skull (stands at 11cm tall) called "Purity" and another, larger skull which has a hinged jaw called "Quartz" (which is listed as 13cm tall, but I've also heard it described as about 20cm):

Nice find Nexus6!!!! I was looking a while back, was hoping to get something similar but in glass or something.... never really managed to find anything though. Maybe the resin option is the next best thing!

I saw this on eBay before - could be wrong, but from the eye sockets it looks suspiciously as if someones taken the official Uncle Milton crystal skull scene projector, gutted it and recast it in clear resin:
