Crimson Fist Space Marine

So over the last couple of months I've been building a Space Marine suit and finished it, unfortunately I never put up a progress thread on here, I think forgot I had an RPF account actually... I hope some photos of the finished thing will make up for it?



And then some pictures from a little photoshoot my friend insisted he do of me.



So, what do you think? This isn't the end though, I'm likely going to be building extra weapons and making additions to it which I'll be sure to post on here now that I have re-discovered you guys!

I started with an ultramarine but am now considering a deathwatch ultramarine though I also really like the black templars and the iron hands.

Ooh, all hard choices to make.

Iron Hands would be really cool if you went the extra mile and made all the bionic modifications and stuff!

I've created animatronic hands and they function really well. The left is over-sized but I'm not sure if it's power fist large but it would work really well as a robotic hand. I'm thinking of doing them again in different colors so I don't have to paint them. I don't want to reduce functionality of the strings/elastic or clog holes with paint.

Wow, thats pretty impressive. Not big enough for a power fist, but would look quite good as part of a bionic arm or something!

Been working a bit on my Thunder Hammer...

Got the cracks filled in and sanded off and got some details on... Starting to look more like a Thunder Hammer than a giant mallet, hehe.

I've always wanted to do a costume that used stilts or lifts. They're pretty much necessary to do a Space Marine because of their stature, right?

Its possible to do a stiltless space marine, but I find they usually look a little out of proportion.

So I finished my Thunder Hammer and my friend insisted that I suit up for some pictures, so yeah, here are a few pictures. Hope you guys like them!







Also I noticed the shaft of the Thunder Hammer seems to bend a little, probably understandable seeing as its only PVC pipe. I'm thinking about sliding a metal pipe inside, like a curtain railing or something if I can find one the right diameter.
