Hi Haystack Hair - yeah I settled for the cd case - couldn't find any stiff clear styrene or thin clear acrylic sheet. I used the scribing tool for cutting. Hey Mike, I'm actually building a printed 1/18 and a scratchbuilt 1/10 (which was on the backburner for quite some time until I thought about picking it up again last night). But the 3D model certainly helps a lot with scratchbuilding - I printed out flattened patterns to cut styrene parts for the window frame - it does make it way easier.

Started over with the docking window after learning from a fellow modeler that the bottom pane is actually
curved to match the hull curvature.
Excuse the glue blotches. Had a hard time with white glue and ended up using contact cement.

Test-fitted again to see what the thruster arms look like. This is one of the angles I like. Especially when the bells are installed. It reminds me of a flying squirrel : )
