Crackerjazz' 1/10 Lunar Module LM-5 Eagle Ascent Stage

Thanks, fellas! :) Hi Rich, yes that's the Chopper - with a 1.5 inch blade. A bigger one would be really useful. Inbox good now, Iedbountyhunter, thanks!

Thanks for the support, guys :) Are you having too much of the VPA now - I'm getting carried away, haha - just wanted to test how much my eyes and my patience can take. Just a few more details to go and some piping and should be moving on to other areas. Nice to know someone from Switzerland is watching, Eleison. Hey Bob missing your progress on your Eagle.

Hi, schneesb, those fantastic real VPA shots are truly helpfull, thanks!!! :) What a collection!!! Tried to match the color. Bare metal is just so hard to replicate without using real metal. And come to think of it, why is it we can tell a diecast metal car from a plastic one even when they're both covered in the same type of paint?

Still have those little gobs of blue tac on the ends of the couplings. Will take them off when I'm ready to work on the pipes (to keep the ends free from paint - easier to glue the pipes on that way).

Hey Bob missing your progress on your Eagle.

That makes two of us, my friend. I'm just too busy right now getting this house ready for sale. I PROMISE I will get back to my Eagle as soon as humanly possible. In the meantime, I hope you don't mind if I enjoy your build  I'm not sure which I admire more...your talent or your ability to make steady progress!

Thanks, Bob :) Just a little progress with the piping. Always helps to have a same-size photo handy. And those photos from Schneesb's post really helped a lot to trace where the pipes go.

LOL thanks Nigel and SofaKing! : )

Used some apoxie sculpt to mimic the welded joints I see in the pictures. They seem to have been manually welded as they don't look as clean as robot-welded automobile frame joints nowadays. I may be completely wrong, of course, and that it's my eyes that aren't working right.

I hope to mount the VPA soon and really get this area done as fast as I can. I'm really trying :)

Hey, guys, by the way, Nirvanicstudios (Nigel) might be too humble to flaunt his work, but his amazing CGI videos are my driving force. If you miss John Ortmann, he seems to live on in Nigel's work and then some. Truly inspiring masterpieces.
