Costume design software?

Does anyone know if there is any costume and/or clothing design software out there? I wanted to try and design a few custom costume pieces, and have an easy way to map it all out, and convey everything to a tailor.

Do you mean patternmaking software? Or you just want help designing something? They make patternmaing software, but not really any software that designs for you. God knows I wouldn't have a job if they did. The only software I use to aid my designs is Photoshop.

I don't really want it to design it for me, just templates and such, because my skills as an artist on a PC, are crappy at best.

This is probably the closest you can get to an easy-to-use software application for clothing design. It limits you to standard patterns the company provides.

The alternative would be to get heavily into 3D-modelling, then into cloth simulation software and then into unwrapping those 3D-models.
