Coraline Cat: Sculpt and Mould

Hey! So i was just recently shown this site and thought it would be awesome to share a project i have been working on lately! :)
I have been sculpting and moulding the Cat from Coraline. Sadly it is only a model but i am using this project to try out some interesting techniques and thought someone might be interested!

So i started out sculpting the head. I used Hard Chevant Plastelline clay on a basic armature.

I have been moudling this using a core moulding technique. Which means my head result i shall have a hallow core with a silicone skin over the top. I shall get both from one beaut of a mould! :3 Then i shall be moving onto the body ;)

I shall keep updating with my process over the days!

However i would like a chance to seek some help for the eyes. I have been doing clear resin testers and having a sticky problem with the resin. I can't seem to create eyes that are not tacky or sticky. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on clear resin to make it non stickey and a way to polish it up? :) Cheers!

Thanks for having a look!

Very nice!
Could you take some photos of the cat with the body in focus?

I would love to see the whole result of your efforts.

It's beautiful work!

Not sure what to suggest with the eyes but I make my 'working' eyes out of microcrystaline wax, clear silicone and stretch cling film over them for that extra layer of gloss. Might not be as solid as resin but I don't have to worry about sticky varnishes or resins while sculpting.
