Airsoft is a plastic pellet kind of gun, less powerful than a BB or a Pellet (generally) but the guns are very often made to a high degree of realism that make them attractive. Often made of high quality plastic or metal. The group play is similar to paintball.

I'll always be a huge fan of the Blade Runner blaster. But, I think they did a great homage to it in the Netflix Death Note film.
One of our members made these. I wanted one so bad!

Back when the film was new, the info that the assault phaser was made from the airsoft Baretta 93r was common knowledge. Today as much is being discovered seems to being lost.

This specific M1911 (well, a pair of them were used from what I'm told, but both are here) has ended up in a local film armoury collection... As did several Garands from SPR.
Re: coolest looking, I don't think it's been mentioned but I'd like to propose the humble PPK;

That's really nice! Once I get through my backlog of long term projects I was thinking about building something inspired by the "KPD" as they called it.

In terms of fictional guns, my 'holy trinity' was always Han Solo's blaster (prefer the standard ANH configuration but the ESB/ROTJ version is great too):
the original Blade Runner blaster:
and Mal's pistol from Firefly/Serenity (prefer the Serenity version):
For non-fictional guns, I think my favorites would be Indiana Jones's Webley Army revolver:
Spike Spiegel's Jericho from Cowboy Bebop:
Leonardo Dicaprio's custom Para-Ordnance from Romeo + Juliet:
Bond's classic Walther:
and Doc Holliday's shiny Colt revolvers in Tombstone:
