Converting the Bandai AT-ST into a 1:2 Studio Scale replica

Ah! So, the vertical ankle pivot (that allows for the 'foot' to tilt front to back) also incorporates a forward facing horizontal rod socket-ed into the foot and acts as the side-to-side tilt axle. MT, would you say it allows for roughly not more than 30 degrees of tilt (from stop to stop)?

The square opening at the top of the foot needs to be cut a little larger on the Bandai model so there is room for the foot to tilt.
