I liked the pilot, though I wished we saw more of the future, though that is understandable due to budgetary reasons. Hope we get to see all the 10 episodes they have planed for the first season.
Lost interest in Alcatraz after about 3 episodes. And there are quite little parallels between Alcatraz and Continuum. I love Fringe and is the only current sci-fi show I get to enjoy these days. After it wraps up next season, not sure if anything better will come along and last.

I thought you guys would be discussing the props in Continuum, like the cool gun, the data stick. Anyone giving any of them a try? I'd like to, if I can get some good screenshots.

Continuum on SyFy
Anyone else watching this show? We just are catching up with the episodes now and searching on here I see that it's Canadian and will be going to the UK soon - that makes it difficult to discuss because of spoilers and all, but I do want to see who watches it and who likes it... and also recommend it to those who are looking for something.
It's got got time travel, revolutionary terrorists, evil corporate scum, pretty cops/investigators who don't know what side to be on, tech geeks with cool trinkets and some plot twists that keep you guessing.
Mostly I'm fascinated by the way they are treating the main character as being a cop hired by the 'evil' corporate council who believes she's doing the right thing trying to protect the public from the terrorists BUT she slowly starts to see the reasons they are doing what they are doing might be valid, even if she is still 100% against their methods. And they do not glamorize the terrorists either - no question that they are extremists on a mission.
It's a very delicate line they are walking and at least where I am on episode 10 I like the balance and the way they make most of the main characters into real people with real issues, real limitations and real delusions.
It actually reminds me a bit of Earth Final Conflict in the way the characters have strong convictions, but begin to see the other side might have a point.
Maybe we can discuss it if we keep it general...
