Comparison of V for Vendetta Masks

A lot of the protestors wore these during the government issues in Thailand, earlier this year. There's now literally hundreds of them, discarded all over the place. I have picked up around 12-15 of em ( mostly the Japanese ones) and there's market stalls here still full of them. The higher end ones, although plastic, are around 5-6 mil thick ( and strong) and are around 400 Baht ( 2 quid, English money)

Re: Masks Ive recently read that the 2 Masks used in film are/were the only 2 made and both are currentlyu owned by Director and he, himself Hugo Weaving. .
While I'm sure James McTeigue and Hugo Weaving kept a mask of their own, there were like 10 masks with different finishes and eyelid trim made from the hero mold and all were used on screen. And thats not including the battle damaged masks. I wonder where the remaining ended up. Also

I think this is the mask Hugo Weaving got to keep. It looks like the same mask that gets unboxed in the BTN scene before V arrives.

I'm curious. Is there a way you can maybe show us some of the masks you've collected? Japanese ones maybe? :)

I also heard there was many "hero" masks made, once I find one I am happy with I will see about having a battle damaged mask created too :)

Well my sskunky mask arrived and to say I am impressed is an understatement!! anyone looking for a well made, well painted V mask really should consider one of these

Hey everyone, I was considering doing a V for Vendetta costume and was trying to locate the most accurate looking mask (that's not hundreds of dollars). I've narrowed it down to a few, and I was hoping I could get some input to see what the closest one is, at least as a starting point, as I may have to do some minor work to a couple masks to make em more accurate.

Movie mask, fairly pale, thin eye holes, little bit of pink on cheeks and very little on bottom lip:

This one claims to be the deluxe mask, but doesnt look like other deluxe V masks when Googled (the deluxe one has weird rings around the eyes which are very wide themselves, and is yellower):

This one seems to have the correct proportions, but the color is all wrong:
MOD EDIT: Please do not post ebay links, thanks.

This one may be the closest I've seen so far. The eyes are narrow enough to be similar to the movie mask, yet they look sleepy. I may just cut a little bit around the eyes to reshape them a bit:

I've checked out numerous different sites trying to find the closest mask i can, but I'm not coming up with much. Any input/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, i'm busy with modelingclay because i really want a mask just like the movie, not like those poorly made masks online. It's far from finished, but i want to make a mold and cast it and but an airbrush. It will cost a lot, but somehow it's worth it :p
