Looking good! You may just not have put this in yet, but the "wings" are really a "T". The Atlas girder parts sandwich sheet material along the length as well.

I disagree. These 2 pics tell me there is a gap.

I think it is not solid across the span, but the gap is filled. Ie, you can see thru in a few places top to bottom. But if you look side-on to the edge you can't see between the piers. The gap is a shadow since the filler is not flush to the outer edges. But bonds the two piers together along their length and is the same thickness as the "wings". Hopefully that makes sense.
