Lol - I already purchased a rotocast resin casting of a real skull, supposedly used in films in the 70s and an aluminum tusk ANH/ESB style, since that's what it looks like Propshop put on theirs, off eBay. See if I can get the skull to fit, if not I've been thinking about modifying one of the new Black Series Rogue One Stormtrooper helmets into a Death Trooper, the old zombie ones from the book, not the Rogue One Death Trooper.....

... well maybe I can at least make it a option to have the ability to remove the face mask or have it come all attached ...hmm

As cool as the removable mask was, it would seem to me that the whole thing would kind of been fused together considering how everything else is melted.

Right, that's what seems to be going on. That is the way I will ship it, fused... But for casting purposes I have to have the face plate come off anyway. So technically, if you want it to separate, I can just leave it unattached, so you can put skulls and such in it. I think that will just be an option. But I definitely won't be sculpting as much Reveal Vader on the top half, because that would interfere with the overall presentation for a proper Melted Vader, which ultimately is the goal.

Version 1 was created when only 4 reference photos of the original prop existed. So I had no real way to sculpt many details and subtleties of the screen used prop. It was, therefore, a artistic rendering, but not a totally accurate one. Now, since the Propshop 3D printed Melted Vader came out, using digital files from the original. I can create a very close approximation. I have dimensions, and a ton of visual reference to draw from. ... So it will be very close. But this is a very difficult task even with references. Also, there are differences in the actual screen used prop from the Propshop version. There are even many differences from one Propshop version to the next. .... with that said I'll be posting more pics in the next couple days....

Fused is fine and probably preferred. My skull will get used on the Death Trooper. I'm planning smashing one of the Black Series buckets, similar to this bronze pendant, but with more blood and guts.

Interested in a completed finished helmet and only of if its screen accurate and the best of the lot in the galaxy and better then the Prop Shop version! LOL
