Clicking my own "REPLY" button in a thread not working

When I go to a thread where I've posted and click the REPLY button it acts as though I clicked the EDIT and puts my reply in the same post as before.....anyone else having this happen?

It is a feature of a lot of new board software to prevent multiple posts. Some forums have a rule that if you have two posts in a row the 2nd one gets deleted. This prevents that from happening.
