I'm building a all steel StormTrooper suit in 20 gauge mild steel.
The helmet is by far the most difficult piece and requires all of my metal working skills to hammer into shape. After it is all finished I will have each piece plated and chromed.
My question is - has anyone ever made this suit before in steel?
( and I dont mean those light metal ' sculptures ' made overseas)

WOW, that is one heck of an undertaking. I would imagine the helmet being the hardest part. I have not seen a TK suit made from steel, sounds heavy.

Plated and chromed? You should just do a Cylon - it would be cooler!
