Hi,
I have a few contacts and have located the production used military vehicle used in the Children Of Men.
Based on a Landrover Fire Engine Chassis, this thing is a HUGE six wheeler- detailed inside and out.
I am hoping to get the time to go to see it tomorrow ( Friday) where I will take as many pictures as possible, my main reason is to gain an insight into how these vehicles are sometimes built, materials used, and to see if I can see any 'aha!' bits in the creation of such 1:1 props.
'The Beast', as the current owner calls it, is a pretty good looking example of some mad but simple customising, so if there is anything special you might want to see, try and let me know before lunchtime tomorrow, although I will try to help regardless.
The vehicle is in need of light restoration in some areas so I am hoping I can get lucky and persuade him to let me work on it ;-)
