My in-laws left for Disneyland (world?) in FL this morning.
Through his (geeky) uncle Richard, my nephew has aquired a love for Star Wars.. when he heard that disney was having their Star Wars days on the days of their visit, he wanted a costume.
I was going to have my in-laws buy the robe and let me make the rest, but they bought the kid a Rubies (YUCK!!) Anakin costume. Atrocious. The belt was big enough for ME!!!! and I have a 34" waist.
I altered the belt.. no hope for the rest of the costume
K.. so.. anyway, I wanted the kid to be able to hide the SHAME of wearing a rubies costume so, I made him a quick and dirty jedi robe.. It's made to fit him. its also unfinished, but as I work longish hours and was making this in my off time, it came out pretty nicely.
I don't have any pics of him wearing it... YET but I'll post those when I have them.
Here it is last night right before I took it to their house.
It's probably not 100% accurate but for a 6 year old, its close enough
