Cheap LED light packages at Walmart

Thought I would mention this as they may be handy for your projects.

I was at Walmarts holiday decoration area today and saw these. 10 LEDs running off of 3 double A batteries. Use your imagination to light up props, model kits etc. Costs about $3.85 and comes in white, red, and green.

They also have a variety of street lamps that can be used for dioramas.

those are the ones i got last year to use in my BSG Viper helmet light bars.
john :cool

That is a very good idea. Light bars without the heat of an incandesant bulb.

I am going to use these to light up the consoles on my C-57D and Jupiter 2 models. The street lamps are for a diorama with the Roswell ship.

Walgreens has packs of purple OR orange "halloween" LED's for 3 for $10 as well. The battery boxes on them are total crap, but the LED's themselves are nicely wired. I'll post some pics this evening.

Wild you posted this, I just picked these up the other night. Watch for the fiber optic Christmas trees, these are perfect for lighting up a Falcon or an Enterprise model.

While your at it you might also want to check the Halloween department at Target for $5 or $6 bucks they sell a three pack of those LED globe spinner things(think something similar to the Giga/Gaga-meter from GB II).

They'd also be good for a lighting project and should also see a markdown should any survive till after Halloween. These aren't the full sized spinners, but the smaller models(Though they are slightly larger than the smaller models I've seen similar at Fleamarkets for $2 each).
