Chavant Clay Heating Ideas?

OK, I just received my shipment of 30 lbs. of Chavant NSP Medium clay. Yes, it's for the backpack, and I need to know how to heat & soften this stuff up. Previously other members have chimed in and told me how to make a box with a light bulb inside to provide heat. I don't have time to go into all that. I was thinking about using a crock pot. Nice thing about it, it has several heat settings. Any other ideas?

I microwave mine.

BUT

theres a fine line between nice and pliable and "******* hell that hurt" hot.

if possible cut the block up into about 6 pieces and then microwave for around 80 seconds, have a quick check then. if it needs more whack it back in, baring in mnd micros heat from the inside out :D i often twist the clay block to check its plaibility ( is that even a word )?

hope ive made some sense.

Ps ive no idea what a crock pot is, and for one min i thought u typed crack pot

Microwave, or put it in a plastic bag in medium to warm water. (no HOT water since it will liquify your clay in time)
Also, try to get your hands on a pasta-machine, seems to work wonders on the plyability.

You guys're gonna laugh----but I ended up using my Crock Pot. I set it on high, and in about 4 hours I successfully melted a 10 lb. block of the Chavant. Nice thing is I can set the heat level to low once it's all melted.

Here's a Crock Pot for you Lee----
