Actually, I think it is a good choice. Of course, I thought Donny Osmond would be perfect for the role. Ashton plays a smug, full of himself character just fine.

It is all the other charatcters that make the show funny. They play off charlie's character.

I am sure I will watch the first episode with Ashton, just to see how it goes. Even if it anly goes for one season, they have lots in the can for syndication.

Maybe they'll use old footage of Charlie clutching at his chest at the start of the next season, screaming and then having a tiny Ashton Kutcher burst out of his chest. Alan and the kid start to flee but the tiny Ashton calls to them, and the realize he's friendly. He grows rapidly, they ask him to stay there and hilarity ensues. Since the kid is grown and the Ashton creature is part man, part chest burster, it could still be called "2 and a half men."

With the characters mothers proclivity for fooling around, you could always bring in another son.

Poor choice, which will be made worse if he does it as Kelso.

He was on already and died, literally. Though he wasn't a brother, he was a 'best friend'. Can't imagine him, being his actual brother, getting involved in that mess though. I know he and his dad both want charlie to get some help, but taking his job would hurt their relationship big I think.

Their choice could've been worse, purportedly it was going to be Hugh Grant.
