Castle (TV) Evidence Envelope - Stamp help

Im recreating the Mayan death threat from last nights Castle episode.

To me it looks like the message is on a 4"x6" index card. The artwork should be simple. But Im having trouble locating the stamp from the envelope, anybody have a good reference for stamp images? My googlefu is failing me. Thanks

Re: Stamp help

Well I did some poking around.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday that the price of a first-class stamp will rise to 44 cents on May 11.

None of the new stamps on the USPS website have boats so I would have to say it's custom made for the show.

Re: Stamp help

Thanks D6 I was looking for a covered wagon, didnt see a boat, guess thats what I get for living inland. After looking at the other SC I agree that its production made.

After drawing the image out tonight at4x5 Im not sure of my size estimate

Re: Stamp help

The way the stamp is applied looks fake to me. New stamps are stickers and don't have that much shadow when they are applied.

I found a boat online and made this. You might be able to print it out and cut the stamp shapes.

Re: Stamp help

No problem, it only took a few minutes. You'll have to scale it down to print it but it should look good.

Here's a scaled down version. 1" wide and 350 dpi.

Re: Stamp help

Looks like the original isn't a real stamp anyway. You just need to get a pair of edge scissors off pee-bay, doesn't even look like the stamp edge scissors I think it's the mini wave edge ones.

Re: Stamp help

Re: Stamp help

Thanks Kurt Id already raided the wife's craft supplies and found a set of pinking shears (can I use that term here) that was pretty close. I still need to practice drawing the artwork a few more times to get my lines smoother. but Im pretty pleased

A huge thanks to Franz for the stamp!
