Just wondering if anyone knows if it is safe to cast a cup in resin and then drink out of it? Looked on the net and didn't really see an answer there, so I thought someone here might could help?

Depending on what Resin you are using. But yeah, It's toxic.

I have no other comments :lol

I have heard of food safe silicone but I can't say I have ever heard of a food safe resin.

I know plastic is ok, otherwise we wouldn't have bottled water, but I would REALLY do some research on this before trying it out.

I wouldn't recommend it but I suppose it would depend on what the use is for. If it's for normal use then I wouldn't trust it at all. If it's for something like a grail cup which you would have a sip of water out of a couple of times a year then you're probably fine depending on your finish.

That said plastics, like everything else, have been linked to various types of cancer and other problems. Just because it doesn't make you sick doesn't mean it's not harming you.

You could always take up ceramics! ;)
